Meet this year’s honorees!

Mary Susan Gallien Clinton

Mary Susan Gallien Clinton decided to raise her children in Naples three decades ago and help raise the Collier County community.

Clinton and her husband, J.D. Clinton, are founding trustees of the Naples Children & Education Foundation and were instrumental in organizing the first Naples Winter Wine Festival. She is also deeply engaged with the Shelter for Abused Women & Children and is on the Comprehensive Campaign Cabinet and Board of Trustees, on which she is the 2nd Chair-Elect for 2027-2029. Clinton is a founding Shelter’s Safe Haven Society member and co-chaired the 2024 Mending Broken Hearts with Hope. Her concern for domestic violence led her to serve for eight years on the Shelter board and vice chair of the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Since 1993, Clinton has been involved with several other local nonprofits and is executive board emeritus for the Greater Naples Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter while maintaining her Southern belle roots as Board of Trustees Chair at the University of Mississippi Foundation, and serving as membership advisor and mentor for her women’s fraternity, Delta Gamma.

After a stockbroker career, Clinton founded Gallien Global Vision in 1992, co-producing wildlife documentaries and films in South Africa and Kenya and licensing them internationally. In recent years, the Clintons’ two adult sons, Denver and Hurst, joined the family-owned INSOUTH Bank in Memphis, Tennessee.

“Growing up with strong Southern women in my life has instilled the ability to efficiently multitask from the boardroom to the kitchen with purpose and poise,” Clinton said. “I have learned that true strength lies in embracing our many roles and finding joy in each one.”
